ZSoftly Cloud Platform

Our Journey

Our Story

From a team of cloud engineers to an independent Canadian sovereign cloud you can build your business on

How It All Started

ZSoftly was founded in February 2022 as a professional services and career development organization. We helped businesses with cloud engineering, security, DevOps, and technology delivery while helping people build careers in those fields. Through both lines of work, we saw the same problems repeatedly: lock-in, unpredictable egress bills, and business-critical data sitting under foreign jurisdiction.

Between February 2022 and December 2024, Ditah and his team trained more than 100 people to become skilled cloud, DevOps, and security engineers through a 100% remote career development program.

In February 2025, after working with partners, we raised a CAD 110,000 pre-seed round to focus on private cloud solutions for businesses in Canada. That work turned our professional services experience into a platform we could build, operate, and manage for organizations that needed more control.

In March 2026, we opened ZCP public beta in YOW-1 at our headquarters. In June 2026, we launched full production in YUL-1, Montreal, from a production-grade Tier III data center with SOC 2 Type II attestation and ISO 27001 certification. ZCP gives businesses a Canadian public cloud with sovereignty and data residency built into the operating model.

Our Journey

February 2022

ZSoftly begins as a professional services and career development organization

ZSoftly began as a professional services and career development organization focused on cloud engineering, cloud security, DevOps, practical technology delivery, and helping people build careers in these fields.

December 2024

Remote engineering training reaches 100+ people

Between February 2022 and December 2024, Ditah and his team trained more than 100 people to become skilled cloud, DevOps, and security engineers through a 100% remote career development program.

February 2025

Pre-seed funding starts the private-cloud focus

After working with partners, ZSoftly raised a CAD 110,000 pre-seed round to focus on private cloud solutions for businesses in Canada.

2025 to early 2026

Private-cloud platform work begins

The team turned its professional services experience into a private-cloud platform that could be built, operated, and managed for Canadian businesses.

December 2025 to January 2026

Hosted business operations become platform work

ZSoftly deployed and managed its own hosted business suite on open-source software, then codified the applications, identity, security, observability, databases, and delivery workflows through AWS infrastructure and GitOps.

January to March 2026

IaaS and public-cloud engineering accelerates

The IaaS and platform repositories formalized CloudStack, OpenStack, Proxmox, KVM, Ceph, regional networking, storage, and the public ZCP control-plane direction.

March 2026

ZCP public beta begins in YOW-1

ZCP entered public beta in March 2026 with YOW-1 at the company headquarters as the only live region. The first public product surface and CLI took shape while regional compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes work continued.

May 2026

YUL-1 becomes the second live region

YUL-1 joined YOW-1 as the second live region, expanding ZCP beyond its initial beta foundation and supporting broader public availability.

June 2026

ZCP launches as a Canadian public-cloud platform

In June 2026, ZSoftly launched ZCP in full production in YUL-1, from a production-grade Tier III data center in Montreal with SOC 2 Type II attestation and ISO 27001 certification. ZCP gives businesses Canadian sovereignty and data residency as part of the operating model.

July 2026

The universal control plane takes shape

The API, CLI, documentation, and Terraform provider began converging around one ZCP resource model for public, private, and future partner deployments.

Our Founding Principles

The values that guided us from day one and continue to drive everything we do

Sovereignty by Default

Customers should never have to choose between control and convenience. Data stays under a jurisdiction they trust, enforced in the architecture.

No Lock-In

We build on an open-source foundation with $0 egress so customers can come, scale, and leave on their own terms.

Canadian Roots

Canadian-owned and independent, anchored in PIPEDA and Canadian legal stability, billed in CAD with no FX surprises.

Operated by Engineers

The engineers who build the platform are the ones who run and support it. No subcontracted operations.
