Architecture Designer Preview Limitations
The designer is a public planning tool for creating reference architectures and starter `zcp` CLI scripts. It is not yet a production deployment planner or an authenticated account-aware deployer.
What is supported
- Unauthenticated visual design from a public ZCP catalog.
- VPC, network, instance, public IP, firewall, and load balancer nodes.
- Reference templates, including a load-balanced three-tier architecture.
- Starter shell script and blueprint JSON export.
What to review before running
- Plan slugs, template slugs, storage categories, and region availability.
- Project names, quotas, capacity, and existing resource name conflicts.
- Firewall exposure, SSH source CIDRs, and load balancer rule behavior.
- Startup scripts, variables, database replication setup, and application bootstrapping.
Not production-GA yet
The designer does not authenticate to a customer account, check quotas, reserve names, validate private images or SSH keys, deploy resources from the browser, or guarantee rollback behavior. Treat generated commands as a reviewed starting point.
